GP2 and computer assistance

I wonder if there is a way to turn off computer assistance...you know
what I am talkinfg about ...when the computer corrects your line or the way
you are approaching a turn. I find that extremely annoying.
It seems like it can be turned off using a joystick, but not with the
keyboard! I only use the keyboard...so this is a  pain in the neck!
thanx,

Refer to page 20 of your manual and you will see how to turn off all
of the driving aids.  You DO have your manual, don't you???

I don't think there is a way of turning it off using keyboard. oh
wait. there is a patch but the guy said it's nearly uncontrollable
having it off.I find it hard with it off using joystick. I forgot the
address of the site where it was at but try all the GP2 sites anyway

You can't turn off steering help or opposite lock from within the game if
you are using a keyboard, so looking at the manual wouldn't help him!

I believe that there is a patch that will allow these to be turned off
when using the keyboard - don't have an exact URL, but try looking at
http://www.volftp.vol.it/GP2/

Be warned though - you will find it near impossible to control the car
using the keyboard without steering help.

Cheers,
Richard

In the control device screen, there's an option to turn the steering
help off. I've tried it briefly, and I thought it was very hard to
drive, but then, I'm no Jacques Villeneuve. Try it, u might like it.
