Ellison probably has me banned already since I'm not a member of the
West Bros fan club

That's 3 tracks now, mister.  You're forgetting Coca-cola.  :-)

I'll have to say the same, my interest is now dying if that is the reality
of the situation.  All the tracks available in pics and various PR material
from WSC, all the car pictures for the countdown, it's all useless, none of
that is true.

If the sim was open-source with a car and track editor, then absolutely
_YES_ I would pay for that.

Nope.  Looks to be the whole of it.

I gotta say, I've paid very little attention to this whole West Brothers
thing, and I gotta say I'm glad I didn't waste my time.  This boondoggle
shows that they are about as thickheaded as they come, and given that I
doubt their ability to come up with a decent piece of code.

Pfft.

Ha ha ha ha ... you are a funny guy. Nice April Fools joke.

Wait a sec ... it's not April 1. You weren't joking. OMFG!

And just think.  HERE we have an opportunity to get 1 unlicensed car and 1
unlicensed track for just $150.

Progress?

Exactly, one must be an idiot to buy into this concept!

Probably the same thing as the last so called "beta" of WSC. On/Off gas and
brake,  No steering,   steering will cost you buddy!

Are you an accountant by profession by any chance?

You keep forgetting this includes the engine and tools to build your own
racing sim. Not everyone will have the time, talent, inclination and
information to do this, obviously, but some will. People have gone through
the trouble to reverse engineer other games in order to be able to do this.
What makes you think they won't for this one?

You call me a dreamer, I call you shortsighted, how about agreeing to
disagree and just get on with it?

Sounds fair Jan.  Some questions if anyone feels like answering.

As far as the "tools to build your own racing sim". Does that not sound like
a major conflict of interest on their part?  How will they sell anything
else other then the core? Do you really think they will give you ALL of the
tools thus elimating the need for the West Bros. at all?

I feel this is just another way to tell us what we want to hear, as is
most of the stuff on their page.

I suspect that you see no concept. Never mind, there are plenty of nice
games with lots of cars and tracks to choose from. I hear on the grapevine
that they come in lots of nice colours as well ;-).

If you can find the cheat codes, you can get even more cars and tracks

Ah yes Jan that strange breed, the accountant. Boring, homogenised and
totally devoid of long range vision. How many thousands of fantastic
industrial and technical breakthroughs never made it beyond the accountant's
office, I wonder  :-(
