N2 Wheel problems

If anyone can please help me I just got a new conputer a pentium 166 MMX 32
meg of ram and I wanted to try and run N2 under Windows 95.But for some
reason I can't calibrate the wheel under windows or under N2.The only way I
can calibrate the wheel (T2) under 95 is to but it on custom 2 axis 2
button and when it ask to calibrate is to hit the shifter a couple
times. But the nothing works under N2 I can't even set the controls it's
like it's not detecting my wheel completely or something oh yeah one other
thing I have my T2  plugged into a game card not the sound card. The
gamecard is a Ch Products Gamecard 3 Automatic/MCa.ANy help would greatly
appreciated.

Thanks

You must have Win95 OSR2 (ver 4.00.950B).  Apparently Microsoft made
some change that makes it impossible for some people to use a T2 in
Nascar2 when run through this version of Win95.  Interestingly enough I
too have this version, but my wheel works fine.  Papyrus is trying to
figure out what about my system allows for it to work.

This seems to be a popular topic.

Robert, I had the same exact problem and fix which I posted to this NG a
couple day's ago. I also have a Gamecard 3 and windows would not
recognize the joysticks. I fixed it by removing the gamecard and
enabling the port on my soundcard. Got a Y-adapter cable, plugged the
joysticks in and everything works fine. No problems at all.

I also have Win95 problems. What i have to do is run the game then at
the first game screen (Example Quick race Season Choice) exit the game
back to windows then run again then mine works fine but you must do this
each time you want to play. Pain in the ass but better than using a
joystick.

If you have a 'Plug N Play' card you need to find a program called a
'plug n play configuration manager' usually found as part of a dos/win3.1
driver package for the particular sound card you have. Had a fun time
getting my bro's PNP Soundblaster 16 to work with dos games. Just be
careful; don't let it install any Win 3.1 drivers! It'll***up your
win95 ones.

There is a choice in the custom configuration of the joystick
inside win95, with the title ( is a racecar controller ).
That is the one wich you need. The T2 is delivered with a adapter.
The adapter switch the B joystick ax to the A joystick ax.
( I mean, the levers behind the wheel ). On my system , this works
great.

P.S. Sorry, i'am not so good in englisch.

Eric.

Thanks for the tip Kevin.  I have ICR2 and N2.  The T2 works fine
with ICR2 but in N2 the pedals don't work.  I can calibrate them but
when I try to assign accelerate and brake, the games just sits there
like I"m not pressing the pedals.  ICR2 works fine.
