David,

I agree.. I am huge fan of the 'real' CAN-AM series.  They were true racing
machines =)
The CAN-AM sim being put out by Motorsims was to include the Spec Racers as
a training class but they were also going to include a historic aspect if I
recall correctly.

It is possible, but do not quote me, that we can get the West brothers to
implement a historic CAN-AM  vehicle in WSC.  I know I have discussed it
with them ;)

Joe,

Development on a PII-450?  VERY cool -- I didn't catch that part in the
interview!  That leaves some hope that WSC won't be a hopeless hardware hog.
I'm allowing myself to get a little more e***d now! <G>

FWIW, Greg Siegele of Ratbag games did his portion of the developmental work
on DTR on a P-166 machine, which explains why it's so buttery-smooth on
*our* machines! <G>

There are only like 4 real machines in CAN AM anyway. The Ferrari F333
(whines like a ***, Riley & Scott Ford (that thing really rumbles), the
Mazda 4 rotor Kudzu (rotor really goes...) and that V6 buick Kudzu

The only genuine Can-Am vehicles existed back in the halcyon days of the
sixties/seventies, before the series was destroyed by the rule-makers.
Anything labelled "Can-Am" since that period in history is nothing more than
a pretender.

While I agree with you gentlemen on this, that Can Am was, and will be
forever, one of the most extreme (and missed) series in motorsport, I find
the prospect of peddaling a Ferrari 333SP or an R&S MKIII around Laguna Seca
quite invitating. And at least the sound of those are up with the Can-Ams
:-)

True, Matthew.  But I would _prefer_ to pedal a Chaparall or McLaren or
Porsche or .....<sigh>!

My hope was that that 1970s Can-Am based sim would have been finished
and released. I still remember watching those cars, nothing has come close
to them yet.
