So he i was about to rush over and buy this saturday afternoon, but maybe
not...?
The demo suffered from turn in mega steer, and from what i`ve read so does
the full game...
Is there a cheat to set the game to sim mode like u could on the ps2, does
this solve the steering issue..?
If so i will buy it, if not then i wont.

You can pay Codies an extra 2.99 to ge tthe bonu scodes, one of which will
unlock Sim mode. I just tried SIM as in the demo and it accepted it.

There's two steering settings Arcade and Sim the former is better IMHO.

Would I buy it, unfortunately I did and I can't see myself spending hours
playing it.

There is already a cheat code generator out. Check some of the game 'no-CD'
sites such as gamecopyworld. Being asked to pay extra to unlock software
you have already bought is just crass profiteering. After all, why did they
advertise the game as a semi-sim if you need to pay for a patch called
'sim'?

I wonder what would happen if Microsoft asked you to pay extra for those
Word essentials such as spell checker or page set-up? Codemasters is doing
the equivalent with this policy.
