NFS: Porsche Unleashed inquiries

I finally got around to getting the demo, and I have to admit- this looks
like a lot of fun. However, the demo is pretty limited, and I have a couple
questions for those of you in the know.

1- There seems to be some anomalies in the display in the demo. I'm using a
V3 3000 with DX 7a(latest drivers, of course<g>), and the road loses texture
about 4 or 5 car lengths ahead- there's sort of a shimmering aqua-colored
soup instead of asphalt. Is this an issue in the full version? It's pretty
tough to drive when the road hides itself until the last minute.
2- Is there a distinct "personality" to each car? The Carrera in the demo
seems fairly authentic(maybe just a tad too tail-happy, even for a 911/993)
and is a blast to drive. Does the 356 seem like it should? The modern
racers? The differing cars is a big part of the appeal to me, and this would
be important..

Thanks in advance for any answers.

I think the game is great. This is the first game ever that I enjoyed
playing "offline".  Evolution is great, the factory driver is fun. The cars
all feel very different and exactly as I would expect them.

No graphic glitches in NFS  PU and V3 3000 in the retail,
As for the cars I don't know it's not arcade like like it used to be...

V3 + DX7.0a here and the demo's fine. I'm using fairly old V3 drivers
though. Says 4.12.01.1213 in Current Display Driver Information on the
3dfx info page of display properties. No idea what that means in terms of
the many recent versions.

I found the latest version was needed to get F/A-18 working but it screwed
up Quake3, which I need to satisfy my Capture the Flag itch, so I switched
back.

Anyway, it must be a driver thing.

I had the same problem. I was also running directX 7a.
It was fixed when I upgraded the V3 drivers. I have a V3 2000
Are you sure you have the lastest Voodoo drivers?
