I recently picked up F1 2000. It seems like a good game, but the
instructions are not there. How do you exit from testing? I thought it was
"s", but that doesn't do anything. Also, has anyone had any luck running
this under Win2000? I am currently running it on Win98 with decent results.
What are some good websites for patches and things? Are there any patches
that are "necessary"?

Strange that there is no instructions! Still, hitting 'escape' exits you
from all situations.
It runs as well (no flames please) under Win2K as Win98.

I see now. I installed it in Win2K. In Win98, when I hit ESC, a grey box
shows up, but there is no writing in it. In Win2K, it says "Hit Enter to
Exit". What's wrong here? Also, when I installed it in Win2K, my only choice
was to use software 3D. In Win98 I had software or Direct3D. What is wrong
here? I have a Hercules TNT2 Ultra.

You got the FAMOUS drivers problem of F12K....

Get the latest nvidia drivers for your board, even if it is not a nvidia
board it must have a TNT or TNT2 chip on it....

Don't you have the transparent tires as well ?

This game is such a piece of shit !!!

The new driver worked. But I still can't get the FF to work on my LWFF (with
any game).

I believe it is a "feature" of W2K. From what I have read the only FF
wheel which continued to work under W2K was the MS FF wheel.
Gee, I wonder why that is???

Immersion are working on drivers for W2K, so that means that all the others
will be sorted out later rather than sooner!
