Maybe a real stupid question, but what is GPL ? What kind of game is it? I
see so many topics with that name and so many enthousiastic reactions.

I like F1 2000 very much.

Does it work also good with playing it online. And i mean with people all
over the world. Because thats what i like with racing SIMS.

Quality of connection and competitors is changable, but on the whole it's a
very satisfying experience.

Just be warned you will not pick GPL up as quickly or as easily as F1 2000.
It's a whole different ballgame.

Still pouting Jochen?

The vast majority of people on this NG are decent and ever ready to help
when it's needed . The only time when flaming exists is when someone asks or
states something extremely stupid or rude as you have for the past week .
The rest of us all get on fine .

Compared to some other NGs that I subscribe to , the people here , certainly
in the GPL community , tend to be mature and likeable . Maybe you shouldn't
go around insulting something that's offered for free as you did last week.

I'd reccomend staying away from online racing, unless your REALLY good for
the first 3 months. I've had the game coming up to 6 months now and am just
becoming competitive. I've only 4 races, with 1 pole, 3 at Monza and one at
the Nurburgring (well I raced against 3 and I was the only finisher) It's
very fun. If your looking just to be rewarded with being fast, you'll drop
the game. But I was instantly hooked when I felt the physics! t's a great
game, and it's not even much money anymore. Get it.

It's great!  I'm in the US, and I've raced against people from Germany, UK,
Czech republic, and probably some others I don't know about.
