Is anybody here running F1 2001 and a retail version Radeon 8500? If so, can
you tell me how it performs?

Check the HG forum; plenty of stuff, including screenshots, there.

I saw some screen shots there, but nothing on performance or glitches.

F1 2001 & Radeon 8500 ??

I'm using one in a T-bird 1.2 rig. This thing rocks!!  1600x1200 32 bit all
maxed and the frames stay around 30-60 using a modified f1car.gen to keep
the cars in view and high res longer.

Now if only the game didn't kick me back to the desktop after each race.
Anyone know a fix for this? Very annoying as I have to reboot my computer in
order to race again.

I've run F12001 on an R8500 and didn't get that. Maybe try setting your
desktop at the same res as you run the game.

It already is.  I get the boot after every race. Really puts a damper on the
game and the card.

Hmm...must be some setting you have somewhere that is causing it. Do you
have FSAA (smoothvision) on? I got problems in F12001 if I had that on.
Which drivers are you using with R8500?

Not using Smoothvision. My drivers are Omega 9008 version.

I ran it on the Omega drivers with no problem.

I'm running the drivers that came with my card 7191. No problems.
