I would say that if it's so great why not explore other forms
of racing instead of making more of the same? economically
wouldn't it make more sense for software publishers to make
an IndyCar game and say a Monster Truck simulator? both
programs would be selling and generating income.. or in the
case you propose just make another version of something that
already exists and expect people to 'upgrade' to the new
version (and throw away their old version) and of course new
players to the series would only buy the latest version.

See the info on F1GP 2 (WC 2) in the newsgroup. It will tell you
what you need to know.

Why wouldn't they add additional programmers to write another sim ?
How would this delay ICR 2.0. You have a totally illogical perspective.
They'd increase revenues by attracting another segment of racing fans...

: What an Ignorant post... Take a business class...
Just because you took a buisness class does'nt mean that you are God.
: Why wouldn't they add additional programmers to write another sim ?
Because they might not be able to afford a whole new team of programmers.
Thus the resources would have to be split up in order for the company to
work on two projects.

^^^^^^^^^
It is not illogical just highly unlikly. Logic is not concerned with the
content of the argument just the form. I described a situation where his
argument would be true. It is possible for what he said to be true thus
it can be considered logicaly valid.
Not very illogical to me when looking at the above situation.
You may argue that they made enough money with IRC but they still might
have chosen to stay with the same team.

It's not that I beleive that Papyrus actually did what I said but am mearly
defending the guy's point of view. Most likely they did hire more
programmers.
