rec.autos.simulators

    I finally picked 3 new sims to run after driving nothing but GPL and N
2002. They all seem very interesting- I hope it's not just the newness of
them. What does other people think about these sims? I'm also looking for
any sites for these sims as well.
Super 1 Karting- fun but a little easy
Dirt Track Racing- I'm having a little trouble with the entry slides.
Dirt Track Racing Sprint Cars- Ditto
What does everyone else think of these?

While I don't have any knowledge of the first one I have tons of time in the
last two.

Basicly while the Ratbag games are fun they are severly lacking in many
areas to be considered a sim. Over all game quailty is pretty poor as well.
The sound and graphics engines are basicly DX 5 levels and the overall game
code can be pretty flakey as well. On the other hand the are about the best
at simulating dirt racing. Everyone wants Papy to do a new open wheel sim. I
could go for a god sprint car game. :)  The DTR twins are a bunch of fun at
first, but if you are gonna use GPL as a measuring stick I don't hink your
gonna get very high up it at all. At best I'd put them at the level of say
NFSPU. A fun game with ok physics. IF you think the guys on papy loop
servers are nuts jump into some runs in DTRSC on Gamespy sometime.
