it seems to me I've seen the backgrounds and link graphics before.

Looks to me like he took the graphics from some of the best pages
already out there.  I'm 'honored' to be amongst those whose graphics
were swiped.  Three times on the main page as a matter of fact. =)

It doesn't really bother me because I too got some of my graphics from
other pages.
