Computer speed for ICR2

by Mike Heinl » Fri, 12 Apr 1996 04:00:00

I was wondering what is the optimal speed need to run ICR2?  When
I race I lose a lot of detail like the groove, yellow line, sky, walls, fans.
I have a pentium 75mhz 16 MB RAM.  The game is stored on my hard
drive.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just upgraded to a P133.  I can run full everything in and get above 14fps.
Above that minimum (say 16fps), it might occasionally drop the grass texture,
maybe the road texture, in a very graphics intensive shot (lots of cars,
grandstand, a crash, etc).

But even on my dx2/66, I was able to run *solo* SVGA with car graphics, line,
objects, and usually wall texture, with 12fps.

If your graphics adapter has an S3 chipset, make sure you enable univbe (or is
that automatic?).
