ICR2 lap speed bug

Is this a known bug, and will there be a patch for it?  It seems to me
like this would be a rather simple thing to correct.

ICR2 lap speed bug

by Christopher Cav » Tue, 23 Jan 1996 04:00:00

A question for Mr. Genter:

What's the deal with the oval track lap speeds in ICR2?  The speeds
indicated by the pit board aren't the true lap speeds, but usually
about one to two percent higher than reality.

I used my own stop-watch and checked the accuracy of the dash-mounted
timer and it seems to be accurate enough that it wouldn't cause the
differences in speeds that I have been figuring.  The numbers I get
figuring the lap speeds with the timer are always lower than those
indicated by the game.

           (track length in miles)
---------------------------------------------
(lap time in seconds)/(3600 seconds per hour)

Is this a known bug, and will there be a patch for it?  It seems to me
like this would be a rather simple thing to correct.
