GPL AI strenght program?

Is there a program that adjusts the strenght of the AI with a simple windows
interface, with sliders to adjust hype scaling, AI spread, speed,
agression,...?
If not I guess it's not hard to make one. It's just a matter of changing the
driver.ini, right?
It would be nice to have a utility like that to quickly change AI settings.
Is anybody making a proggy like that?

There was a project underway at one time but it's been lost to us now.  It
was to have been the "essential companion to GPL" and supposedly included
such sliders.  Now some people groan when it's mentioned.

As a matter of fact, I think that one of the 10 commandments of GPL should
be "Thou shalt not speak of GP*L, to avoid the gnashing of teeth and rending
of garments which the mere name produces".

Keep it quiet.  You'll get Andre going in a minute.

I heard of that (too much) but I didn't want to mention it.

Easy. Go to http://www.theuspits.com and download the AI tweaker
utility by Kari Ikonen, from the GPL Utilities section. Works great,
but be warned, there is a trick. All drivers do not start equal. Try
slowing down the faster drivers by increasing their numbers a bit. Take
note of the R-E-A-L-L-Y slow drivers and reduce their numbers a LOT.

AI-Tweak, available from Eagle Woman's website.  Sorry, I don't have the site
available right now...

THAT'S THE FIRST OF THE TEN COMMANDMENTS!!!
The only thing the whole GP*L deal was good for is that we now have a
new expression for broken promises, lies and total disillusion:
The Rambo effect...

Thanks to whoever made that up :)

The Karl Ikonen AI Tweaker utility is exactly what you described. You can
adjust skill level for all drivers at once, for each driver individually,
and for different parameters of driver error (start, missing gears, etc),
different probablility of mechanical failure, and a performance factor for
indidual tracks (though I think the latter only effects straightline speed).
