wheel spin

wheel spin

Just wondering. Does anyone know if there is some way of turning off the
wheel spin in legends. After spinning out, the entire field goes by me
before I can get going no matter how little pressure I put on the "gas".
It's a pain in the gas.

Thanks.

Do you mean at the start?

If so, just stomp on the gas.  That's what everyone else is doing.  The game
disables smoke display at the start.  If stomping on the gas still doesn't
keep you up with the pack, try adjusting your first gear.

Try setting off in 2nd or 3rd, and once rolling drop into 1st or 2nd.

Assign a button on your wheel to the clutch. Then put the car in 1st gear
holding the button down. When the flag drops (make sure you have got teh
revs up quite high) release the button making sure your wheels dont spin too
much..Then you will be flying alongside them.. Works for me !! Unless you're
using keys in which case..you have no chance !!

You could also try shifting right into second or third gear instead of
first. This will stop the wheel spin. I do this alot on starts of races
(thats why I'm slow!). I start out in second then once I'm moving a little I
go down to first, then up thru the gears, then into a fence, then as Idav
says "arse over tit".............

I think he means when he spins onto the grass.......

When you try taking off the wheels spin like hell and you can't get back on
the road.

I think you need to only barely touch the pedal, thats how I do it but its
never enough to keep me out of last place when I do spin near the start.

When on the grass only accelerate with the steering wheel straight.
If you turn the wheel at all whilst your foot is on the gas you'll just
spin.
So I do this to spin the car in the right direction, and then only use the
gas with the wheel straight... Its the same when you have an off road
excursion too... only use the gas pedal with the wheel straight, then lift
off and turn gently, then wheel straight and gas, etc etc ...
