I'm going to be buying a new graphics card soon, and need some input. I'm
definitely going with one of two routes, but have an important question.
I have a DFI MB and AMD K6-2/450, and my first option is a Voodoo 3 3000
AGP. The second choice, which despite the cost I would like to go with, is a
Matrox G400 Max and a 12MB Voodoo 2. I've heard, however, that the Super 7
boards wiht the VIA MVP3 chipset have difficulties with AGP2X or 4X graphics
cards. Does that limit my choice to the V3?

Thanks in advance-

If indeed they do have problems with AGP2x video cards, and sounds like they
do, then you need to steer clear of the Voodoo3 AGP cards too.  While they
are not fully AGP compatible, you might still run into problems with them.
I believe the Voodoo2 2000 comes in a PCI version which might work better
with that chipset.

I know the V3 3000 will work fine in AGP- I've seen it with the same setup.
I guess the V3 doesn't use true AGP 2X, so there's no conflict. The G400 MAX
is an AGP 4X part, and that's what I'm leery about.
