Nononononono..... :-)

It's running perfectly well. How did you determine that it is running
too fast?

Take a chronometer and compare them with your laptimes. I can't imagine it
running too fast.

Well, this certainly is a new problem.  :)

Unfortunately, this is one of those "verifications" that will mislead
people. The time shown by GP2 is mostly not equal to realtime and
depends on what slot you use a track in. EVEN if you constantly run
under 100% Processor Occupancy.

If your processor is "fast enough" or "faster" (do those exist
already?  :-)  ), the ACTION will run in realtime. (which is still a
different thing from "displaying the real time")

Perhaps he means his frame rate is too fast for monitor sync rate? I have
that problem with CART/ICRII.  I hit 85 fps and Whamoo!Someone here said set
your video card so that VSYNC is enabled. For the life of me I can't find
that setting on my ATI Rage Pro II.

Other than that I can play it during long downloads at about 40fps. Time to
pick up RH 6.2 and get in a little track time? :)

There used to be a little proggy called MOSLO or SLOMO, was recommended
to people that wanted to play "Ports of call" on something faster than a
486...:-)

Beers and cheers

When i re installed Grand Phather 2 (GP2  :)  )on my celeron 400 i found
that the game was running too quickly. I know it's because gp 2 is cpu
dependant (also for the graphics) but how can i "normalize" the game
speed?

BTW, is there a way to reduce my cpu speed (i'm blocked with the 6 X66
MHz combination),like a software that would partially load my cpu while
i'm running gp2 and that would be adjustable???

Thanks

So GP2 ran smoothly, like the proverbial shit off a shovel?
Congratulations!  Three months before the projected release of GP3, another
satisfied customer makes the GP2 grade!  Maybe in a few years we'll be
running GP3 the same!
