I wouldn't have, and the programming isn't screwed up. If you watch
the replay, time and time again, people waited too long to slow for
turn entries. Also, people didn't give enough room when racing side-
by-side, even though they know how online racing is. The slightest
contact can send you into a circus tuble down the track.
It wasn't the track or the sim - it was people's driving that caused
all the cautions.
That comment was strictly in relation to the NUMBER of yellow flag laps.
There was always one, sometimes two too many with no obvious reason for it.
I was not relating to anything else.

I really like this track. Fun, wide, fast, and very forgiving to a point.
The green flag racing that we did manage was fun. I had some great racing
with John, David, Steve, 00(name?), and others.

Nope.....just doesn't grab me. :)

No WONDER I was in strife.........I was racing on SUNDAY!

That's exactly the point. We are not racing in NASCAR. We are racing in a
computer simulation. The yellow flag rule in NASCAR is there because of
driver safety. If a driver parks it in the wall on a roundabout, it is a
potentially lethal situation for that driver, other drivers, and marshalls.
That's why they have full course cautions.
In sim racing, we don't have that problem. The worst possible outcome is
somebody gets miffed because they raced 95% of the way to the flag and then
wrecked. We also have the major problems of lag and warp, and the fact that
anybody can race, regardless of talent. Lag and warp cause most online
accidents, but are not a problem in NASCAR itself, as the only lag is in
human perception and reaction. If the very medium we use to race against
each other causes the most accidents in races, and each accident means 3 or
more laps of 'follow the leader' reduced pace, then we are just making the
experience worse for ourselves.
Don't get me wrong, the occasional yellow is a good thing - it's more
realistic to NASCAR, it allows drivers to reduce their concentration, take a
mini break from flat out racing, think about strategy a bit more clearly.
But when there was a maximum of 3 consecutive green flag laps and 33/43 laps
were under yellow, it's pushing it a bit too far, don't you think? BTW I
didn't race at Papy MP but those figures are what I have read on RAS.
