GP2: good beginner track?

by William Dahm » Thu, 05 Dec 1996 04:00:00

I just bought GP2.  I like to get into these games one track at a
time.  After I have won on the hardest level at one track, then I move
on.  I don't play a full season untill I have won on every track.  This
game is so hard I might have to go down one difficulty level untill I
get my first win.
Anyway, what track should I start with?  I like the street courses most
so if either of those is good then please recomend those.
Things I am looking for are a small number of turns (less turns = less
to learn), a track that dosen't take to long to get around (I like more
traffic), and the track that is most popular in this NG (I.E. Michigan
is to ICR2 as XXXXXX is to F1GP2) because I like reading other peoples
stuff about the track I am racing.
thanx to everyone who replied to my post asking if I should get this
game, it is great.

Try Monza. Let us know when you win in ace mode.

GP2: good beginner track?

Well i think u should start with monza because that is the most
popular track {so plenty to compare too and tons of setups to
download} a nice flowing track and a lap takes about 1:27xxx{well
1:21.xxx for gods like myself :)) } so is fairly average on lap time.
It is easy to learn as there is no great intensity in it as it is
broken up by loads of big dirty straights. Hope this is of some help

Two of the easiest tracks are probably Italy's Monza and Germany's
Hockenheim. Lots of straights and few hard corners.
Some people find them boring though.

I tend to fall asleep at Hockenheim, but Monza is quite exciting althoug it is
easy to learn, as you said.
