Nascar Upgrade sequence???

by Michael Ci » Thu, 22 Feb 1996 04:00:00

Hello--

I have a question concerning the upgrade sequence for Nascar--

I recently downloaded the nas121.exe file from your ftp page and ran it in
my Nascar directory--it appeared to work, but when I start Nascar, the
text printed prior to the screen clearning says 'Version 1.1'
Also, without the restrictor plate, I'm still running ~225 mph (undrafted)
down the back straightaway at Talledega--according to what others have stated,
the nas121 version should be slower.

Do I need to run the nas12.exe first, then the nas121.exe??

Thanks in advance for your help...

Mike

Just running the nas121.exe file is not enough, all you did was expand
the archive.  After it expands there is another file that must be run
(patch.exe or update.exe I don't remember what it is called).  After it
runs, then it will update the game to version 1.21 and then remove all
of the decompressed files that you just created.  Hope this helps.
