Billy,
I loaded Need For Speed on a 486/66 with 16MB of RAM and I must say that the results were disappointing.  The frame rate was afr
more choppy than World Circuit, IndyCar Racing and NASCAR.  I tried NFS on a 75 Mhz Pentium with 16MB RAM and the difference
was amazing.  Frame rates were excellent at maximum resoulution, full screen and all graphics options turned on.

Billy,

I run my NFS on a 486dx2/66 and it works mostly o.k.  the only real problem
was that I have to run it in LOW graphics display mode.  Every once in a while
the picture locks up for a second or two.  It's not the best, but it works
until I get my Pentium 120. I played the game on a friends Pentium 75 and the
graphics are truly incredible.

Well, now I have a question too.  I have a 486 dx4-100 with a Diamond Stealth
64, vlb, 2 megs ram.  Does anyone think this combo would produce acceptable
results?

My machine is a dx4-100 with ATI Mach32 vlb.  NFS runs great.  In SVGA mode
I run it in medium detail mode and the frame rate is fine (probably 15 or so).

It definitely has a better frame rate than Nascar on the same machine, with
better graphics.
