I've been playing the demo of Need for Speed which will only run in SVGA
mode if you have Pentium. Is this true for the full version? If not,
is SVGA mode on a DX2/66 acceptable in the smallest window?

The full version worked fine on my 486Dx4-100 in SVGA mode.
I know the box says that a Pentium is required, but it really
isn't.  It works very smoothly on my machine, with medium
detail (which is very nice compared to 320x200).

It is definitely MUCH smoother than Nascar in SVGA on my machine.
I can't say how well it would do on a DX2-66.

I have a 486/66 w/8megs VLB. I can run the SVGA mode, cut some of the
details, reduce the window size, and it run real well.

The game is real fun.
