Steering Wheel Selection for GP2??

by Michael Limprec » Sat, 31 Jan 1998 04:00:00

I've been thinking of buying a whell for use with GP2.

The Thrustmaster Grand Prix 1:
It looks nice. But I'm not sure if the paddles behind the wheel
will work well for acceleration and braking.

Also, would it be possible to add pedals later and use the paddles
for gear shifts like real F1??

The CH wheel (forgot the name..):
It has buttons for acceleration and braking. Does this work
for GP2?

Would this be a good combination with their pedals? Then I could
use the pedals for both cars and some of my flight sims.

Comments?

Thanks,
Mick

That doesn't work in GP2, you can only use joystick buttons for
shifting,
not a joystick axis 8^(

BTW, after the patches this works in F1RS...

It got some bad reviews... (feel, quality)

I use a TM GP1 for MP GP2...   HAHAHA...
It works very well, just takes some getting used to, like anything else.
Worst is trying to modulate braking while downshifting.  The downshift
button is opperated by your thumb, which you simultaneously use as a
leverage point under braking.

Hope that helps.
