MadCatz Steering Wheel GP2

Hi
I just bought MadCatz steering wheel for the PC and I also just
boought GP2 (Grand Prix 2).  I'm having some kind of problem with the
game. My car is not moving at all, except if someone hits me.

The unit has all the options, gearshifter, buttons, footpedals.
I got my foot on the gas and I can hear the engine reving.
Can you give me some information of how to setup MadCatz for the game.
I find their setup windows very confusing.

Also it seems that when I shift gears that I only have one gear.
Neutral and 1st.

The manual DID cover this - but not brilliantly.  I will assume that
it isn't helping you, you refuse to read it, or your dog ate it.  You
couldn't just be playing a copy could you.   :-)

Try controller based calibration. 100% Low sensitivity zone on the
pedals.
With low sens set too low, you need to almost have the foot to the floor
to get the car to take off (yes it does rev, but the clutch won't
engage.)  This is when the pedals are calibrated right, and it sounds
like you need to re-calibrate as well.  With correct calibration
and 100% low sens zone (maybe 75% on the brakes), the car will begin
to move with about 1-2 cm of movement.  It will also be easier to
accelerate gradually from corners and thus give less wheelspin.

Joy buttons 1 and 2 for Gear up/Down.  Shifter based clutch.

Make sure the Mad Catz is plugged in straight - slightly crooked and
the pedals can be haywire.

Try with another game to see if it's faulty pedals.

Car won't leave first gear before 80kph unless your wheels are spinning.
You'll be able to change gears once you get moving.  Try going back from
N into reverse.

Make sure you save settings on exit, or you'll need to re-calibrate next
time you play.  Save the controller settings just in case.

BTW - install the suction caps and stick em down with blu-tack,
otherwise
the wheel slides around when trying to get opp. lock.
