Adding NASCAR chassis/d2.txt randomizer

by DJ Hore » Mon, 27 May 1996 04:00:00

I've seen the stern message in some drivers.txt files: "DO NOT ADD
CHASSIS -- IT WILL NOT WORK...."  However, I have tried to fudge this
by renaming one of the car makes to Plymouth, and it showed 'Plymouth'
as an option in the sim -- albeit temporarily (it switched back to the
original chassis name the next time I loaded the sim).

Besides the stern message, has anyone figured a way to change and/or add
other chassis to the sim options? Considering all of the magic that is being
worked with tracks, I wondered if anyone out there had found a way around
this obstacle as well.

Also, I saw a post about a program that "randomizes" the drviers2.txt
file. Is this available anywhere, and if so, where?

Thank you in advance....
