How do I get N2 to run on my Cyrix 686 200+?   I've downloaded the patch
that is supposed to trick N2 into think you have a Pentium but when I run
it, I can't get past the Papy logo screen.  If I run everything normally,
I can run a lap or two, then the whole thing locks up.  Any suggestions
would be appreciated.

Don't run the file that tricks it into being an intel.

I have a Cyrix 166 and N2 works fine. Only time I had trouble was when
I DID run the 'trick' patch.

That patch DOESN'T work for Nascar2. Nascar2 looks to see what processor
you are using, if it's a Pentium it tries to execute Pentium only code.
IF you fool N2 into thinking your Cyrix is a Pentium the game will crash
trying to execute that code.

N2 WILL work on Cyrix and doesn't need the 'patch' you are referring to.
That 'patch' is only hurting your trouble-shooting.

Hope this helps...

Get the patch from any good nascar2 page.
