166 or 200 for N2

I getting ready to buy a new computer just for Nascar 2.  I want this to
be the last one I get for quite a while.  I only want to spend $2,000.

What speed would be the best for the money and over the next 5 years,
166 or 200.  Also where can I buy the reactor 3d card.  Also which brand
has the least problems...Compac, Acer, other???

That's a tough one.  The obvious choice would be the 200, but for $2000
that probably won't happen.  You'll more than likely just have to do alot
of bargain shopping either way.  Checking store ads, or having it custom
built.  I bought an Acer over a year ago, and have been pleased with it.  I
found Acer more personable and in general easier to use.  I believe Acer
makes most of their own parts for their computers, which could be seen as a
plus or a minus.  I don't think you'll see one specific brand give out any
faster than the other, though.  Anymore is just seems to be what options
come with it, and whether or not the monitor and computer looks better:)

Tony,

Check out the Zenon ads in Computer Shopper.  Two of my friends just
bought them and they seem great.  One of them got a fairly loaded 166
Cyrix system for about $1,800.  Zenon seem to use really good
components.  They're a little shy on software as compared to Gateway
2000 (I happen to love Gateways).  This probably is not a factor since
you state you are buying this just for NASCAR.

I just got my Reactor, from Intergraph, working last night.  It's
incredible!!!  Intergraph has been EXTREMELY nice and patient with me
during at least ten calls.  It turns out the problem was not with the
Reactor.  Intergraph is running a holiday special:  $149 for the Reactor
and 4 games.  What a great buy!

Check out the following site for ordering info:

Good luck!

I have a cyrix 166+ and it runs nas1 faster than my p200 by a 5% margin
If this is any indication of how well it will run nas11,I will be
getting a cyrix 200+              MRV

If you have an cyrix P200+ ready board with 2*75MHz, you can supose much
...but bad floating point , and of course no 100% non-crash system..
If you want a stable computer system , get Intel inside only...
(i worked about 6 months in a computer store, i do know what i say...)
