F1RS US Version Install Problem

by Brian Shor » Tue, 07 Apr 1998 04:00:00

I just got my copy of F1RS in the mail today.  The install program
loaded fine, but I discovered I was out of disk space, so I had to
delete some stuff to make room.  Now every time I try running the
install program, ubisetup.exe causes an illegal operation, and I get
this message in the details window:

UBISETUP caused a divide error in module UBISETUP.EXE at 0137:0041d513.

It started up fine the first time, but that was it.  I tried running the
game from the CD, that works (as well as you would expect it to run from
the CD anyway)

I have a Dell P2 266
Canopus Pure 3D
Matrox Millenium 2 4 meg
64 megs EDO ram

Any ideas?  I'm thinking it left a file on my HD somewhere when I ran it
the first time that is causing the problems, but I'm not sure where it
left anything... maybe I'll just delete everyting in my windows/temp
directory

I got my copy today.  I notice that it created a UBISOFT directory under
C:\Windows with a copy of UBISETUP.EXE

Good luck.
