GPL Replay Analyser v2.4 released

by Martin Granbe » Fri, 09 Jun 2000 04:00:00

Hi everyone!

We've put together a new version (2.4) of GPL Replay Analyser for all
of you GPL fans to download.

The main new stuff is:

*Added a new report for info about the mechanical troubles all drivers
get during the race. This also states the official reason for
retirement a la GPL. Thanks to all guys helping us out testing this!

*Added option to include the official reason for retirement in the
Race Report. (Note that the race report will take some time to be
generated if you add this info)

*The graph dialog now works better if you are using Large Fonts.

*Added one more html-page to the record export. "Overall ordered by
tracks (all cars)".

*Added possibility to save the trackmap as a BMP-file.

Download and more info at:

Cheers,

/Martin and Jonas

Hey Martin,

At GPLRank we are noticing a fair number of clock smashed times from
online races and practices, and we don't want to go training mode only.
Is it possible for people to use Replay Analyser to scan a race worth
of laps, and tell if any of their lap times are bogus due to clock
smashes ? Don

Hi Don,

Not easily as it is today.

We haven't implemented such a feature but I guess if you look at the
time difference graph and there is a very sudden movement in it at the
very end of a lap there probably were a clock smash at some point
during the lap.

Depending on the quality of online data I guess we could make a check
if the laptime is reasonably correct.

I think SpyGirl have some sort of warp-check but I haven't really
tried it so I don't know if it's good.
