Did you try using the S64MODE utility (it may be different for a DRAM card) to
specify your monitor type?  Documentation for this utilitly should be in your
Diamond owners manual.  NOT running this utility each time you reboot your
system has been known to cause problems which usually disappear after
identifying your monitor type to the video card.

Hope this helps.

Bye for now.

Thanks for replying.
Yes I do run the GO95.EXE utility every time I boot the machine so that can't be the
problem.
I did manage to get Nascar going in OS/2 Warp, but I still can't get past the opening
screen in plain DOS/Windows.

Ah well, I'll keep going at it until I find the solution.

I had a problem with My Revel Video card crashing Nascar Racing, so I
upgraded it to a Diamond Stealth 64 DRAM (1Mb vlb) card and have no
problems running it out of DOS or Windows.  I do not load any extra
drivers than what my sound card needs and MEM manager when running from
DOS.
