It depends on your budget. The T2 goes for about $100. If you use it
everyday, it will require frequent maintenance (pots, springs, etc).
The maintenance isn't difficult and you can get free parts from
Thrustmaster. The TWS goes for about $275 + shipping. Its a much more
solid unit and will require periodic pot replacement. The ECCI costs
about $500 and will probably not require much maintenance at all.
Those are pretty much your options. I have been using a T2 for about 4
months and have had to replace the pots once. But the wheel feels like
it has lost its "feel". Currently I'm on the waiting list for a TSW.
Good Luck!

I own a Computer store and have tried all of the current steering
wheels. The T-2 is very cheaply made and i have had about a 30%
return on them. The TSW is very strong, Smooth control and the pedals
are the best i have seen. I own an Extreme also but at $560 it is
expensive but good. The TSW is currently on back order until late
August or early Sept.
PS.  I have 5 of the TSW's coming in after July 20th. Three of them

I've had my TSW for 5 months.  It's great.  If the wife will let you spend the
cash, go for it!

I own the ECCI CDS, and in the last, oh, 9 months since I bought it, I
haven't noticed the slightest change in its performance. I HAVE
noticed that I go a hell of a lot faster though!

The only 'maintenance' I'm going to be doing on it is applying a
couple of upgrade kits that ECCI kindly sent me. These alter the
stiffness of the gas pedal, dampen the slight springy noise that is
possible (I have this on my brake pedal), and allow for a selectable,
alternative input mechanism (more details once I study the
instructions!). They continue to improve the CDS, and I can upgrade
mine to the latest spec. Excellent.

I've owned the Thrustmaster T1 for over a year and have never had a problem
with it and it performs EXCELLENT! I recently picked up a T2 for my other
computer and it's even better!! In Las Vegas the cost is about $129.
