Interact V4 Force Feedback problems

If anyone uses this steering wheel, how does it work in the test portion under
Game Controllers? It seems that mine has a slight delay in the gas/brake axis.
Not so much a delay, but slow in updating. If I quickly push the gas all the
way, you will see the small + sign jump it's way to the top instead of
smoothly climbing. This translates to jumpy gas/brake performance in games,
especially noticeable in GPL. The quick vroom-vroom I do with taps on the gas
pedal on my setup at home (CH F16cs and pedals) does not happen here (I use a
V4 at work). 2 quick taps with the V4's gas pedal pretty much results in the
engine barely revving halfway up the tach. Try it at home, and I'll redline it
with each tap. I've given up playing GPL here at work, since you can not
control those cars (well, maybe the BRM) with such sluggish gas/brake
controls.
There's one update on Interact's website, but it doesn't help.
I'm using this through the SB64 awe gold's gameport, btw. At home I'm using my
SB16 gameport.
I guess I'll try another stick at work to see if it's my gameport. Doubt it, I
think the V4 uses some wierd thing because TMScope does not detect it.
