More info about F1GP2.....

Last weekend I heard from a guy that he had seen and played a
betaversion of F1GP2!!
As far as I can remember (I was in a pub...) he told me the following:
- The game was 500 MB big (including a long intro)
- each track contained between 10-20MB data
- each car contained 10 MB data
- all the cars and tracks were ready

there was a list of things to be done:
- the cars were not yet subject to tyre-wear and fuel-load
- the pitsscenes are to be made more interactive
- the game should be compatible with more video-cards

He said the game was as good as ready except for these things( and some more
that I forgot), and it was the best autosport-sim he had ever seen!!

Oh boy, I want that game to be released NOW!!!

Hmmm...Looks a little bit much...However, when you look at the details you
see on the pics on the net it isn't surprizing that it'll be a _huge_
program.

Anyone out there who can give me a best estimated guess if anything this big
would run acceptably on a 486DX2-66 with 16 Megs RAM?

Humm very interesting,

So if the trackdata is about 10-20 MB and the cars are 10 MB and let's say
the code and driverhelmets are 5 MB.

So you will only need 35 MB of internal RAM !!!?!!!

Get serious, there's no game market for file-servers !!!

Hm, I just hope F1GP2 runs on my Pentium 100 with 32Mb RAM ... ;)
