LeMans:  for its authentic racing footage from 1970.
Any others worth mentioning?

Grand Prix is a good one! The racing footage is really good! But, for me
there is a little too much relationship stuff (love triangle and such).
A side note... I got the chance to meet with James Garner a few years back
and we got to chat about this movie. He is very fond of it! He was nice
enough to autograph my VHS box of the movie. Man, I was such a fan boy!  <%)

Adding to those all ready mentioned:

 - 'Winning' (Paul Newman et al.) Indy 500 ca. '69.
- 'The Green Hornet' (or somthing like that - Sportscar racing from the late
50's)
- 'Lime Rock Park - Secret valley of racing'   An excellent documentary!

Personally - I love David vs. Goliath stuff like this:

Amaroo Park - OZ.  What a super track - shame they ruined that one - too..

9 Days in Summer is one of my favorites of all time. It is by Ford and
highlights Fords involvement with Lotus in the 67 F1 Season. This site also
has many other fabulous racing movies and memorabilia on every motorsport. I
have several great films from here and want many more. Be careful to only
purchase in NTSC format, although some DVDs play the European PAL format
also. http://www.dukevideo.com/products/4905.htm

Does anyone know where else I can get this? Everytime I click that link, my
browser stops. The timer keeps working, but the movie never starts.
I'm using Opera.

Thx,

He did a follow up called "The Racing Scene" that was a docu-drama of SCCA
club racing after the Grand Prix deal too...

Grand Prix for me too.  The story is cheesy, but the racing
visuals ('66 or '67?) are fantastic.  Alas, it still isn't
available on DVD.

From an entirely different perspective, I really enjoy Gumball
Rally :-)

This reminds me... while not a theatrical move, Lap Of The Gods Parts 1 and
2 are really great to watch. A must see for all of us race fanatics!
(Hmmm... note to self I must buy these 2 videos ;)
