#$*&#$#&*$#(*#$&#$)%_Y&!!!!!!!!!!!

I never downloaded a demo as big as this one. Only to find out IT DOENS'T
WORK!!! While all 3Dfx sites are posting it!!!! Don't they check it out? I
see more people are having problems running this sucker with V2. And there
even isn't a Readme file included. Im very annoyed, to say the least...

Anyone has the solution yet?

Hmmmm ok...

It's a Rally-racing half-simulator half-arcade game. It uses the TOCA-game
engine. It's made by Codemaster. Probably the most realistic to-date Rally
racing game. It's out on the PlayStation also. It's an overall "good" game,
with no big flaws or no big excellent point.  A typical good and classy
racing game.

Colin is actually a kick-ass driver that probably lost a couple of bulbs in
is head. I mean... no way I would be _that_  crazy to be his co-pilot hehe

I got the Colin McRae rally demo to work on the first try ...

Of course I'm still on DirectX 5.2 ... and Glide 2.x (although I think this
is a D3D game).

Go figure.

It's an awesome.  Fun as heck!

It's a demo of a game called (suprirsingly enough) Colin McRae Rally,
and it's available from http://www.hotgames.com right now, that's what!

I have a 12mb STB BlackMagic 3D V2 (and it shits all over the 12mb Monster
II) and i was also having problems with Colin McRae Rally. It would hang
after showing the control keys.

I just walked away from my pc and it eventually came up. It's a pain but at
least you get to check out the game... which i am gonna buy!!!

Regards,

Andrew

I found that it would crash after it showed the key screen. I noticed it kept
reading the empty CD drive, so I disabled it in the BIOS and used FAKECD to make
the computer think the directory I unzipped CMRALLY.ZIP into was a CD-drive. It
worked after that. It seems that the demo was designed to be run off a CD ROM.

Actually, if you did the full install, you don't need FAKECD, you just need to
disable your CD drive.

He means the demo so surely level of install isn't applicable.
On this subject though, is that the way to get Colin McRae full game to
run without the CD in, or are there any cracks, etc, available yet ?

Or could I do it with FakeCD ?
