F1 for SCGT

I have been waiting to see if anyone was going to mentioned these new cars
for SCGT (by Tom Egelkraut) and nobody has, so I will.
Ferrari399 and Jordan199 so far.  Very nice visually and a blast to
drive. V-10 engine sound.  F1 season patch. Great stuff.
They can be downloaded here at Toms site.

Well, I understand the savings, but if you want F1 and SCGT together,
why not buy F12000 ? It's made my the same people and it's all F1, all
correct tracks, no patching  ;-)  Or maybe you knew that already !

I just spent an hour or so playing around with the Ferrari.  Man, that's
fun. I don't know how accurate it is but, it seems a little easy to me.
Thanks to everyone who spent time on the project.  The sounds are awesome!

Because SCGT does not take a NASA computer to run it?

Amazing... This carshape looks far better as those crappy carshapes ISI/EA
made for f12k whille it's the same game engine.... They should be ashamed...

Damn! I can't wait to get home and try it :) How many different cars are
available?

btw, I prefer SCGT over F12k too. IMO it looks much better, runs better,
ai is better (but still not great), and has (although not at first) RS
shifter support!

F1 for SCGT

Dunno...Remember when SCGT came out ? No updated realism patch, one
dash for all, no 1551 patch, no Revved sounds no nothing... It is my
favorite game also, well it was until NFS Porsche came out, but I think
F12000 is great. Using SCGT for F1 sounds like lot of work, add cars,
add tracks (do you have the F1 tracks, all of them?), make sure they
corner like F1 cars (no body roll) etc... The same company that brought
you the game you like just did an F1 game based on the same model but
improved...It just sounds simpler, that's all I was saying. Give it a
month or patching ;-) The fact that it does not run well on your
machine is a problem that can be improved with a few tweaks, or by
plonking $120 at a good video card. Then again, I don't believe in
complaiign about PC horsepower as long as the game is good, let's face
it, MSWord is not what drives us to upgrade, is it ?  ;-)

Anyhow, F12000 is really not that bad...

I'm loving NFS:PU too ;)  Now those are nice graphics.

oops......I didn't buy SCGT until last fall. By then all (most) of the
bugs had been worked out. The quality of SCGT "add ons" has been
amazing! I'm sure they will be for F12k also, but as it stands now, I'm
just not too impressed. I really like F12k's physics, but I prefer
SCGT's graphics and performance. I've even edited F12K's graphics to

btw, my machine is no slouch :)
