From the message I posted previously:
Usually that is a sign of the core overheating and causing it to
crash. Odd that you can run fine in openGL though.
Try disabling AGP 4x, altering you AGP aperature, etc. in the bios.
Also try different drivers (although you've tried a few.
Oh, and maybe try some extra cooling, like opening up your case.

Your new problem seems almost like when the RAM is overclocked and has
reached it's limit - I think you may have a faulty card. Try swapping
it with someone elses or any spares you may have (preferably nVIdia
based) and see how you go. Other possibility is to underclock it and
see if you still get these problems. NVMax is good for that stuff.
