Even the IRL knows that the Codemasters IRL game is garbage.  I was at
Richmond and they had a stage with car mockups used to drive some simulated
laps at Indy.  They weren't using to Codemasters game, they were using the
EA Sports F1 2002 game with an IRL mod added to it.

haha thats a great story.  I'm really tired of game companies spewing
statements of realism in order to appeal to the true sim enthusiast - when
their main goal is to design a game for the lowest common denominator.  The
demo from Codemasters is a perfect example.  Yes it sucks.  Hard.

The "stage with car mockups" preceeded the final development of the
Codemasters game.
