Past History can be thrown out the window with EA's Nascar sims.

Thunder is the first nascar title with a new studio, and new team.
Comprising people from Nascar Heat.. Nascar Racing 4... and many other
successful games. Give it a Chance?

OTOH, NASCAR Thunder is being developed by the team that did Madden
2001/2002, and is being led by Ed Martin (lead on NASCAR Heat).  Methinks
they might come closer to getting it right this time...

Until they put in yellow flags and a good multiplayer interface it's still
just a game.

Of course not, that way when it is purely a arcade game they will have the
easy way of backing out by just saying "we made it for a arcade console
system, not as a PC Simulation"
