There have been numerous black holes created by the collision of 2 or
more Nascar vehicles, fortunately the only thing ever lost to one was
the cans of beer the drivers were holding at the time.

Very good. :-) But I must admit I find the LHC more exciting than Nascar.

Having said that, Nascar vehicles and their chubby drivers are so
incredibly heavy we could probably save money by colliding them at low
speed instead of atomic particles at very high speeds.

We'd call it the Large Hillbilly Collider

How do you know?

The outcome of an infinite Universe containing an infinite number of
stars with planets then by definition there must be an infinite number
of planets which have the human virus...

... my head hurts ;-)

Unless we're just a simulation of course.
The possibility of us, as a simulation, being just a subsimulation of
one of an infinite number of simulations, themselves running as subs
in their respective infinite numbers of parent simulations
notwithstanding, it is still only a simulation, and thus not real and
so nothing to for us to worry about..

Hope this helped. :)

I think there will have been many similar species across the universe.
However as life is inherently unlikely and unstable (ie ultimately
self-destructive), I think the chances of any two planets anywhere
containing life at the same time are close enough to zero to make no
difference.

The infinity thing is fascinating though. There are an infinite number of
numbers. There are also an infinite number of just even numbers (or odd
numbers). It therefore stands to reason that an infinite number of
numbers ought to contain twice as many numbers as an infinite number of
even numbers.

There are also an infinite number of numbers between each number.
Therefore an infinite number of numbers must contain (infinity)^2
numbers.

Which all goes to prove that infinity is hard to fit into a box. Even a
very big one. It's far simpler to just lie on your back on a clear night,
holding onto the planet firmly just in case you fall off while
contemplating the triviality of your lowly existence.

Allow me to split a hair....

Would intelligent life (assuming we believe that is what we have on Earth)
on another planet be human? Would nature repeat the same mistake? Although,
that could be a super duper from of evolution. In that only life that learns
to protect it's planet survives. If so, I wonder how we are doing? Hmmmmm

No there are only a finite number of living creatures in an infinite space,
as any finite number divided by infinity is so close to 0 the chances of ever
meeting another living creature are so slim as to be irrelevant.

(Probably a far more recognisable reference than the last one).

don't mistake the actions of one mislead (though admittedly rather
***) culture for a problem of the entire human race. (<== See,
it's not off-topic, it has to do with "racing" ;-)

Wether this one culture will take the turn for the better, we'll see,
but humans have been roaming the planet for millions of years without
bringing its ecosystem to the brink of collapse. These people had
(some, in fact, still have) a different vision of man and his / her
place on the planet and among the community of life, so there's
nothing inherently wrong with humans as a species, whatever your
culture tries hard to make you believe.

All the best, uwe
