In practising and qualifying, your pit crew show you a pit board after each lap
showing your time for the previous lap not the one you are now completing. In
races the pb shows you the laps you have remaining and your position and who
was behind and in front and by how much at the end of the previous lap. This
means that the pb data is quite out of date and that you will not get a pit
board at the end of the first lap. At circuits like Spa where you drive almost
a whole lap before you start your first complete lap, you will not see a pit
board for 3 laps - over 10 minutes.
