SCGT Newbie Help again!

by Griffi » Sat, 11 Dec 1999 04:00:00

Hello,

I have installed SCGT SP3 and well it is a whole new game. I like it.
But I have some issues.

1. I see no headlights in "InCar" view during night racing. I have a
VooDoo 2 and a GeForce DDR card. I have tried both Direct3D and Glide
mode. Any clue?

2. I have played GPL for 2 months and I am quite used to the "feel" of
the car weight and the traction produced by the tires. I find TransAm
cars have a pretty "light" feeling and I tends to understeer. BTW, I am
using LWFF.

3. The brakes are extremely effective in SCGT! I can brake from 130mph
to 45mph in less than 3 sec! Is it this good in "Real-Life"? Or is it
my controller setting? Any hints?

Griffin.

Unfortunately there are no working headlights inside the car.
Gunslinger did find some unused code in the main program that seeemed to
hint at the sim using headlights, but I haven't heard anything since.
I just went back to the trans am class after re-installing
everything.  with the Advanced Options Editor set to full sim, I can
barely keep those cars settled down.  :)

Welcome to the world of Logitech pedals.  I have the brake pedal set
to the lowest settings  to try and mellow out the brakes.  I'm thinking
about trying CTFJ and see if that will modulate the brake pedal.
