I've just tracked down a s/h copy of SCGT.
As a GPL lover , will I like it ?
Where do I go first for the latest & greatest bits ?
Can i play online ?
Thanks , John

                                         ^^ a what??
No...SCGT is a fun sim, but has none of the
grit that GPL has.  You can improve things
by getting a utility called the Advanced Options Editor.
There are many sites for SCGT but I honestly
don't know how many are still active...try Speedsims.com
for starters
barely...and only 3 or 4 at a time, there is a SCGT yahoo
club that races online...but if you are expecting a big field
like GPL with practice and such...your going to be disappointed.

SCGT has one very HUGE positive point however....It is one
of the most open sims ever released.  Wanna run Sportscars...
no problem...Trans Am, Aussie Touring Cars, DTM, Open Wheel
F1 cars, classic minis and other odd assorted marks...There is such
a diverse amount of cars and tracks that you can easily swamp your
hard drive checking them all out.  Plus, it has to date...the single best
re-creation of the great Bathurst Track at Mt Panorama in Australia.
A full lenght Le Mans track is in the works and plenty of others...
Strictly as a driving sim...you will find it lacking.  but as a
full-coverage
racing product...very few can match it..
