Ok heres the deal, I can log on to the network just fine, everything
works great, and then when I goto the race scheduler it will lock up for
a about 1 min and then it will say "bad connection, but were coping" then
it will go back to where the menu is and a box will appear that says
"init error" or something to that effect and then it kicks me off the
service. Please someone help. I have  a Zoom 14.4PC with V.32bis.

Thanks

My first guess is that you have a noisy phone line on your end.  Make
sure you connect at 9600 BPS.

Step 2 would be to pull out the ZOOM user's guide & find the commands
to force off error correction and force off data compression.  you
might also want to force 9600bps in the init string as well.

Let me know if you still have problems...

I have the same problem sometimes, but usually get it after a
race in the post-race chat room.  Have a Prac. Periphreals 14.4.

For Zoomfax 14.4 with V.32 bis  I'm using as my init string
  AT &F &Q0 %C0 %E0 N0 S37=9

It seems to work ok but it's hard to tell as my motherboard is EISA and
that kinda slows it all down on this end. :-).

   Hope it helps.
