CPR Glide performance........

Well, I hope all of you are as happy as I am about the patch.
Personaly, I am a huge Champ Car fan, and when I first saw CPR in D3D
and the framerates, I shit. What a disapointment. After I got my paws on
the patch that I posted on Operation, I just thought to my self, it is
true. With all the talk of Micro$oft and their plan to take over the
acellerated market with D3D, I was thinking maybe true maybe not. When I
saw that TRI 'did' write code for Glide for CPR and that it didn't ship
within the final cut it is obvious what Micro$oft is trying to do.

Enough rambling..............

Performance speaking, my system consists of P200/32megs/Creative 12meg
V2.
Running CART in D3D was a big let down(I think I need more proccessing
power ; ) but this patch does definitly help out CPR. When running in
Glide in H.U.D view(no dash) the game does really fly along at a pretty
nice framerate and the graphics do have that glide feel to it. I highly
recomend the patch if your a CART fan and want more out of CPR or you
think D3D stinks, like me.

By the way, the patch does work in the demo as well. After getting the
patch and trying it in the demo it forced me to go out and buy the full
version of the game, which for the first time I'm enjoying.

Take care.

Out of curiosity, I set aside F-15 for a while, installed the patch to my
CPR directory, and it did absolutely nothing.  I go into graphic options and
there is no change.  It's 3D acceleration on or off.  Where are you guys
seeing the option for 3DFX graphics?  Help...

Thanks Tony, your postin the Glide.dll has made me reinstall CPR.  It was
junk before....Now it's better than ICR2 to me!  And I hated the game
before!

Thanks again,

Richard Manning
