Anyone know if N2 rendition will be usable with the new Rendition
V2200 chipset coming out soon?

Yes, it (the V2200) is supposed to be fully supporting all Rendition-Native
games that ran on the old V1000 Rendition chip, which includes N2, Indycar2
Rendition, etc.

From what I read in a magazine, all games were made to support the previous
Rendition Chip will still work with the new chip.

The same way like 3Dfx Rush was supposed to be 100% backwards
compatible with 3Dfx Voodoo games, but it wasn't?

For what it's worth, I already heard somebody claim ICR2 doesn't
currently run on V2200 accelerated. Can anyone confirm this?

AFAIK, ICR2 is the only non-supported game for the new cards.
The problem seems to be in the card's archetecture, and that
Papyrus and Rendition are looking into it.

No news on a fix.  =(

From what I hear that is not entirely true. Supposedly the V2200 chipset
currently will not run programs that use Anti-Aliasing designed for the
V1000 chip.

I hear they expect to have the problem fixed soon though.

Well, then we all know that this won't effect N2 since it's  missing the
anti-aliasing feature already! .....  To the real question ....How much
better is this new chipset supposed to be?? What I mean is that ICR2 and N2
both fly on my system already......and I have a Diamond Monster to take
care of D3D games and VooDoo ports... What is it going to have better
2D???? :)
