I just got a little comment to make that I haven't seen no one notice =

I thought that the Stealth II was a Rendition Lite(V2100).  Never heard
of the Rendition  220.

Plenty have said it in the past Mark, you must not truly read the
posts.  FWIW, the Stealth is a v2100, not a 220 (or whatever you
think you're talking about) chip.

Cheers!

Let me answer this.  I've tried all three. Here's the rundown:

N2:  runs in DMA mode for about ten minutes before the screen turns to
confetti and everything locks up on my machine (P133).  Running in
4-bit texture mode doesn't help.  You also have to run from within
Win95.  However, I will say that during the time that it IS running,
it never looked better.  Martinsville is actually smooth and fast now
with all the detail on.

ICR2:  no joy for me on this one.  I tried the patch put up on
www.avault.com and I still get garbage.  Of course I have a crummy DMA
in my machine, but the Reactor 3D still ran well enough on it in DMA
mode.  I'm waiting for a more comprehensive solution on this one.

SODA:  A win-win situation.  Its very fast now, and I can pretty much
turn all the details on and still enjoy a smooth frame rate most of
the time.  Whereas with the Reactor some stuff had to be turned off.
SODA uses the RRedline drivers as well, so there's solid performance
because of that.

Also, the PC Player 3D benchmark program shows about double the
performance of the Reactor 3D I replaced, in every resolution using
Direct3D, windowed or full screen.
