Oh....definitely hilarious, Andre.
If nothing else goes towards displaying the difference between cultures when
it comes to humour,
this one certainly does.

Yes, very witty. People die every day - deal with it. Laughter is the only thing
that makes life worth living!

Sure. It wouldn't do me any harm at that point and I would infinetely prefer to
produce laughter than misery. I cannot tolerate the hypocracy that surrounds
isolated incidents of misfortune when there is so much suffering in the world.
Besides, the witticism was at the expense of FIA, not at the loss of life.

I was reading the Farnborough news last night. This is the newspaper for the
town where I live and from where the plane took off from. In this paper was
a heart rending story as told by the aunty of one of the deceased pilots.
Her dead nephew's wife  is expecting the birth of her first child.  The
aunty in question lives two streets away from me. As an aviation centre,
Farnborough is currently devastated by this incident.

BTW. TAG/Maclaren actually own Farnborough airfield and are fighting like
mad to keep the birthplace of British aviation alive in terms of keeping the
place as a viable place from which to conduct business flights. The "anti"
lobbyists are now having a field day, pointing out the consequences of what
might have been if the flight was taking a reverse route.

I'm sure that the family of the deceased, and the people whose lives and
liveliehoods are seriously affected by such tragedy will take great solace
when reading such kind words.

I don't know about all the good taste vs. bad taste stuff, but getting
my hopes up by posting "Coulthard disqualified!" in the subject line
of a joke is just plain wrong.

I've heard better Foggy jokes.... too bad I keep forgetting 'm.

BTW: are we any closer to knowing why he missed his braking point by the
better part of 100ft?
