Hey Bart,
didn't you see the :-) at the end of Cisko's challenge? I interpreted his
challenge as a one-on-one over MPlayer when it's up and running.

So I say to you,***"get real and start acting like an ***", you should
get real and lighten up :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

Lemme clear this up. The body does make a difference in that what works for
one body isn't going to work for another. But you can still make any of the
cars fast .. at least any of them I've played with so far.

I'm really having fun with Burnout, but still, no***pit view is a downer.

Anybody have any cool repalys yet if so,I'd like to see them.
Also anybody know if the AI can crash or smoke the tires at the line?

The AI cars won't crash unless you hit them. The AI cars will slip the
tires. They feather the throttle pretty quickly but they do lose the time.
The ability level will affect how often and how much it infuences the run.

Pete,

I think you got the best time I've heard of. Without cheating, we have a
5.3, 270+ mph funny car. That's the fastest I've seen here.

Cool,

But where's the riding mower we talked about!?

Game looks great! Good job Brent...

You CAN adjust the dash to your liking (move the dials, etc) and place
the camera up-front, and it DOES have TP and FC.

Give it a try! I don't know a lot about drag racing and I had a great
time in a 16 player game of it. I DQ'd myself (shit...revenge), but it
was still a blast.

I've upped my fastest to a 5.73 at 236mph. I spent a couple hours last night
trying to improve that without success. I think I could shave a .100 or so if
my joystick worked right. I have to use the keyboard.
Can someone gimme some
tips on what to set first gear to? If I set it so that I'm at max torque when
I drop it into first, I get way to much tire spin.
Also how can you get a good burnout. My times are way faster if I set
autostage then if I do my own burnouts.

Speaking of which, does a burnout actually help traction? It better :-)
And to the rears on the TF & FC deform like the real things?

Absolutely! Not doing a proper burnout can add hundreths to your time. The
key is warming them up the right amount. It takes a bit of practice to get
it right. With high torque cars (that will push through a static burnout,
you have to do a rolling burn and then back up and do another if you want

The tires do deform and increase in size. This is adjustable by the user.
You can also put "dragster" tires on any of the other cars.

Greg, do you have "Burnout"? I dont because of the no***pit thing but
I do know that in Tantrums "NHRA Drag Racing" that the rear tire distort
as in real life and even the traction of each rear tire is modeled
seperately. If you dont back up correctly after the burnout then you'll
lose it coming off the line.

There is even a "driver cam"  replay where you can watch yourself trying
to control the car, ought to be funny the first time we try a full pass
mode run in a flopper<g>!

Even engine blowups and fires are modeled, should be fun trying to stop
a ball of flame from 200+ mph :)!
